The monthly label is only the beginning
A renewal period and a minimum commitment are not the same thing.

Identify the commitment.
Read the start date, minimum term, renewal frequency and notice procedure. A service can continue after the minimum period. Do not assume that reaching the last scheduled handset payment automatically closes the airtime service.
Separate the phone.
A handset credit agreement and an airtime service can have different lengths and cancellation consequences. Ask for the relevant documents and check any remaining device balance before switching or upgrading.
Examine the conditions.
Check speed restrictions, tethering, fair use, international calls and roaming separately. Promotional extras may end before the main commitment. A large allowance does not establish that every use is included.
Keep the decision proportionate.
Use your own recent usage and reception needs. If considering a change, ask the official provider to confirm eligibility, the new commitment and what happens to existing extras. We do not arrange or recommend a specific contract.
Confirm before acting
